A new online survey took a deep dive of India’s travel and hospitality patterns in recent times. The findings highlighted that despite of the fact that India’s vaccination drive is on and people are getting vaccinated, 89% of Indians are keen to visit domestic destinations which are following Covid safety and hygiene protocol. Travelers of the new informed world are keen to take smaller journeys, and discovering wonderful experiences closer home. But at the same time they are very particular about the safety and hygiene standards of their preferred destinations. Be it bag packers, corporate groups, families or friends, people are preferring to drive down to their nearby getaways for short and relaxed staycations. In our recent survey, surprisingly 59% respondents preferred short driveable holidays over long distant holidays.”
